Incredible 3 - Finding Stevie

The scavenger hunt started on October 17, from 10.00am to 10.30am in Albertson Hall. We had three people in a group and we had to start finding Stevie with the clue provided to us by Professor. Ms. Laurie. There was 7 clues and each clue leaded us to each floor starting from first floor to sixth floor.

We started the hunt off sprinting out of the third floor computer lab where we had our meeting to discuss that Stevie had gone missing. Going west out of the computer lab, which is room 316, we come across the CD selection that is on the wall. We looked there and our first letter we got was blatantly obviously put out for us to see it. The letter was “V.”

The next clue lead us to the main entrance of the museum, which is just through the entrance to Albertson Hall that is facing the DUC. We looked around on the ground and on the walls, then we looked up to where the shark as hanging and saw the clue on the underside of his left pectoral fin.

The clue lead us past the reference counter on the first floor of the library We were to the left of the computer clusters and in the books. We happened to be there as another group was there so finding the book was quite easy.

We ran up the stairs in the center of the library turned left and went right into the periodicals section on the second floor. We searched and searched and couldn’t find a thing. We thought we were looking in the wrong area so we looked until we found some news papers and went through those and still nothing. We finally realized that we were looking for the wrong name of the newspaper

Then we rushed to the fourth floor to find our next letter. Our clue lead us to a computer section and laptop lounge where there was a bright green stack shelve called our “Stacks”, and we had to find a “Zoology” section and found our following letter “R” and the hostage that was taken with Stevie. Deep in the shelve area, we heard heavy footsteps which was coming closer and all our squad members holded our hands in fear only to realize that it was the other squad team who was also searching for Stevie.

On our clues it told us to take the elevator to get to the fifth floor so we went to the south west stairwell and took the elevator up one story to get on the correct floor. We swiftly walked out of the elevator trying to look calm on our quest to find Stevie. We walked around until we found the letter taped on a book shelf.

In the rush hour race of who will find Stevie first, we ran to find our last and final clue so that we can find Stevie first and then win the prize for finding him. One of my squad member said we were running out of time and then we ran up all the stairs.  Finally, we found our last clue on sixth floor where the letters were hidden with a hostage and the letters were “SI”.

Atlast we got the all the letters but still we were lagging behind finding the word which reveals  the place where Stevie was kept as a hostage. All our squad members were trying to find the hidden word and the word is revealed to be “Archives”, the Archives in the fifth floor. We walked swiftly down the stairs to try and make it to Stevie on time. We burst open the door to get on the fifth floor. Charging to find him we almost past where his kidnaper left him. We found Stevie’s head, sadly not on a platter, in the fifth floor archives room. Then Lucas decided that it was a good idea to wear his head. And if you hadn’t realized Stevie is the mascot at UWSP and a dog costume.
