Selma

Martin Luther King Jr leading a march

The movie "Selma" is about the civil rights movement and more specifically giving blacks the right to vote without having any extra requirements that they would have to complete. They had many marches and partial marches, many were cut short from the police officers using violence. I think that this film is about the evil in everyone, what it takes to overcome oppression, and the good the media can be. I think the movie did very well at showing these things.

My Playlist, My Self

My Playlist, My Self

"TB Saga" Tyler Joseph

"American Idiot" Green Day

"Let's Start a Riot" Three Days Grace

"The Way I Am" Eminem

"Cooler than Me" Mike Posner

I picked these songs for my playlist because they represent me in a very real way. Each song was chosen for a different purpose "TB Saga" shows my love of food, "American Idiot" is for me not wanting to listen to whatever the media tells me, "Let's Start a Riot" is for me being crazy, "The Way I Am" is for me being who I say I am, and "Cooler than Me" shows that I don't care if you think you are cooler than me.
